Yogi Tea
cutdown 30”
CASE STUDY:
For this 60” film, our goal was to create a story that felt completely natural, rooted in real-life moments where Yogi Tea genuinely belongs.
Inspired by the improvisational process behind Sorry, Baby, we invited two actresses to co-create the script with us. On a Friday afternoon, we provided them with clear emotional objectives — their wants and needs — and allowed the scene to unfold organically. We ran the improvisation several times, each take lasting a few minutes.
We then transcribed the material and distilled it into a tight, one-minute script that preserved the authenticity of the performances.
During production, we deliberately stepped away from traditional coverage. Working without a rigid shooting plan, we focused instead on the emotional arc of the characters. This freedom led to unexpected setups and moments we could never have storyboarded.
The result is an intimate, human film about how something as small as a tea bag can offer comfort and emotional grounding during one of life’s most difficult chapters.
